Scholarships & Discounts

Please apply as early as possible in order to be considered for a scholarship.

We provide a number of scholarships every year, each up to the value of 75% of the basic course fee.

These scholarships are intended for students who have a real desire to learn English, but whose parents may struggle financially to send them on the course.  Scholarships will be awarded to those applicants who we believe will make the biggest overall contribution to the course.

The criteria we use to choose scholarship students are that the candidates must:

  • Have a strong desire to learn English

  • Be hard working in English at school in their home country

  • Be willing to participate in a variety of different sports

  • Be willing to integrate themselves into evening activities

  • Have a positive classroom attitude

  • Be enthusiastic towards the aims of the course.

Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who feels that they will be able to integrate themselves into all aspects of the course, which includes being friendly to all the other students, whether younger or older.

Please note that the level of English the candidate possesses is irrelevant of their scholarship application. Both beginners and advanced students can receive a scholarship.

If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please contact caroline@coastschools.com and we will send you an application form.

Scholarships are available for our Hong Kong camp, and for the 4 week Belmont course only – when applying please be aware that students must be able to attend all 4 weeks.

Scholarship offers do NOT include flights to and from your home country, nor visa costs.  Please ensure you can cover these before applying.

Recommend a Friend!

We value our reputation that has built up over many years through word of mouth. For this reason, we offer a discount for anyone who recommends a friend to the course.

For every friend you recommend to us, we will give you 5% off the basic course fee.

Please note that this offer is independent of scholarships and they cannot be used together.
